Description

...technically, not a "tutorial", but it didn't fit anywhere else. I just uploaded this in case anyone was wondering what I was working on next, and to show how I do these. :3 This seemed to be the best place for me to put this. Again, if there is a better one please let me know - I didn't want this in my scraps/

edit: putting it in because it doesn't show UP at all in preview XDDDD

If you're wondering how I do my patterns/plushies:

The giraffe shown here was doodled as a sketch, then cut out on paper. The trick to making a plushie is to design (draw) the body halves (sides) first. Then pin [one] of the sides of each (match them together) and open the open part out flat.

That should give you the feel for the "front" (the white part shown here). Don't worry if it's too large, too small would be a problem though...and you can always cut it down to size after sewing if it's bigger than expected.

It's a whole new way of thinking rather than drawing, and it takes getting used to. You can always rip apart an older plushie (I never had the heart myself) or just look closely at the seams of one to see how it's done.
